Hi Rahul, U are in gud profession. Actually this is the right time to explore the new things in UI. B.Tech is good , actually many big companies always looking for Software engineer in UI. You have done Regular degree it will be beneficial for you in future.

Before 2010, nobody cares about UI so much but now in all sector like Govt or Private everybody want to see good UI. As they believe Good UI means Good Impression and ts right some where. Every big company like Accenture, Google, Microsoft, IBM, Wipro, TCS etc All want good UI developer . As per there experience they would be hired from 4 lacs o 20 lacs. Skills you need that is first as a good designer, good in Photoshop and other designing tools like Coral, Illustrator, In design and then come UI Development and for this you have to vert good in HTML, HTML5, CSS and CSS3, Bootstrap framework, Materializecss Framework, JavaScript and jquery.

If you have good expertise on any java script framework than it will be very helpful to you. AngualrJS is one of the most promising framework of java script. Now a days HTML CANVAS, HTML SVG is also part of UI development, if you add these skills is in you CV it will help you definitely.
