Hi Friends... This is my new blog. We have completed 8 years in the IT and Educational field.

When you are planning for a year gap, you must think about all possibilities. Self-motivation, focus, and determination are a must if a student plans to drop a year or two to prepare for an entrance exam.

Here are some pros-cons of dropping a year:

After finishing class XII, Let's suppose a student Name Diya decides to drop a year to prepare for the NEET. She felt her preparation was not up to the mark her time was mainly consumed in preparing for class XII boards. After much deliberation, she decided to take a break, instead of enrolling in any graduation course, she diligently studied for the entrance to get into a medical college. Diya was among the few who cracked the entrance. Thousands of students each year drop a year or two to prepare for JEE, NEET, NID, or UCEED. Only a few with complete dedication succeed, after battling the peer pressure, watching fellow students going to college, nagging parents, and at times pressure and depression that may come along with the grind.

Every year, students face the dilemma of whether they should settle for what is available at hand or take a break to work for a dream rank. There is no right or wrong when it comes to deciding on a gap year as it depends on one's focus and determination. If a student is absolutely certain of pursuing only a particular field and is unable to get admitted to an institution of his choice, taking time to prepare and get into a stream and college of their choice is recommended.

There are always pros-cons of a gap of the year taken by student but one must have to confident about his/her preparartion. In some cases, students who have prepared well, and fail to perform due to may be health issues or other reasons, and can wait for another attempt. However, if one is not sure of the preparation, taking a year off may not make much of a difference.

instead of wasting a year, the students should take the next best option. We must realize that an IIT degree only is not the assurance of success. When it comes to dropping a year to take a competitive exam, only students who scored well in the previous attempt but could not get their desired college should wait for a year to appear again.

According to the resources Market is open for all who have skills, this perception about good college means a good job is old like a Govt. job, This is just an illusion. Please update yourself with the latest learning and skills. You will get whatever job or package you want.

The biggest roadblock students face during their drop year is a dip in motivation. The lack of school routine, absence of family support, or sufficient guidance may lead to students slacking off. In some cases, they may even become gloomy and depressed.

It is important to evaluate your own persistence and resilience. A student needs to have a plan of action in place and should be motivated enough to pursue studies for the entrance exam else all this time could get wasted. More students are taking time to decide where they want to end up, for the most part, my observation is that gap years have helped students. They have a greater probability of success with a well-planned gap year after class xii

If the student is disciplined and is ready to devote that extra time to achieve the goal, a gap year can be a viable option. This should not be perceived as a risk.

Everything in life is a risk and in this case, some risks can be mitigated by planning well. It completely depends on the student whether he/she will waste away the year or be consistent in his preparation to achieve the desired goal.

Students who are not clear about their career or higher education choices can also use a gap year to explore some of their interests. They need to start with self-exploration. Such students should take advantage of the psychometric test available online that can help you map their skills and interests they can also seek professional help and talk to people in some of the industries they are inclined towards.

A gap year can be very useful for students planning to study abroad as they can use this time to build a holistic profile, which is highly favored during admissions to good colleges abroad. Students can devote extra time and mental bandwidth to pursue a special project or activity or use it further develop an interest. Honing or learning new skills or language, taking up relevant online certifications, investing time into a social cause through volunteer work, taking up internships to gain some work, and taking up internships to gain some work experience are worth exploring.

In last, I just want to say Do your best.

Thanks
